NO CONSTRUCTIVE CONCLUSIONS was a group exhibition featuring urban photography by Ian Nutt (UK), Pavel Pětroš (CR) and myself (PL). We all met through Flickr photo sharing platform and were invited to do the show by another Flickr user and AMI gallery curator Piotr Kaczmarek. The photos were first exhibited in Wroclaw, Poland, then in Katowice, Poland and finally in Frýdek-Místek, Czech Republic. Presented below are the 6 photos that I have contributed to the exhibition, and 3 posters, all designed by Wojtek Bednarski. All my photos were shot on 35mm and medium format film.

In their spare time, Ian from England, Pavel from the Czech Republic and Wojtek from Poland take photos of the reality that surrounds them. The urban landscape and its inhabitants, things that are ordinary and extraordinary, things that are beautiful and ugly, remarkable places and the totally ordinary.
They got to know each other thanks to this shared passion, first through an internet photography portal, then in person. What brought them together was the way they saw and pictured this reality in their photos - without any thesis, without judgement, without evaluation. Even though each of them follows a slightly different path and lives in a very different environment, the things that they have in common were what led to Piotr offering them a joint exhibition. The direct impulse for this was Ian and Pavel’s visits to the Upper Silesia region in Poland last year, meeting Wojtek to talk face to face and to explore the urban maze and the social landscape together, making photos as they did so.
